ENDURANCE
According to Wikipedia, years and years ago, society forbid people to tell another person how you felt about them. Instead, people used flowers to express their feelings. And, flowers had all types of meanings so one had to choose very carefully the flower they gave to another person. The Cactus is known for its ability to resist through tough times. The cactus means endurance, the ability to stand still and to resist in front of unknown things. I dedicate this blog entry to my friend, Jim Culver, who is currently recuperating from a motorcycle accident and continues to show his strength and endurance. Withstanding hardship and adversity, he continues to stay positive and focuses on what is important each day. Note: This cactus was very small - only about two inches in height.
